Bio

Hi! I’m Jamie Dąbrowiecki, though you may know me online as jdab.

I am a website designer and developer specialising in WordPress. I have been a hobbyist from my early teens and creating websites in a professional capacity since 2013.

I am also a Locale Manager (UK) on WordPress.org.

A staple in my life is my favourite football team, Manchester United. I have been a fan my entire life, taking after my Dad who also supports them. My day-to-day plans revolve around United’s fixture list and I try to get to Old Trafford as many times as possible each season. A side-project of mine is United by Numbers (mufcnumbers.com), a WordPress website which focuses on squad number data of Manchester United.

I regularly play video games with friends, as well as a weekly movie night.

I also love to travel to new places whenever I get the opportunity. So far I have visited 18 countries and I intend to keep growing this number!

WordPress Origin Story

Back in early 2011, I was running an online bullet board and wanted to branch out into news reporting. I had a recommendation to try out WordPress as a blogging platform, and never looked back.

Shortly after, I created an account on WordPress.org, and used it to contribute for 10 years. Due to the lack of a username change function here, I created this new account in 2022.
