Born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas, Jim graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelors of Administration in Finance and Marketing. He stays on top of industry related issues through continuing education and constant industry monitoring, because he believes knowledge of the financial markets and the mortgage industry facilitate providing the best service to his customers.

Over the past 10 plus years, Jim and his wife, Gloria Alica have lived in North Bay Village and spend a lot of time in their second home in Duck Key. Jim has 3 children and 4 grandchildren in the DFW area. Active in the community, he regularly volunteers to serve on various community boards such as Beautification; Jim is the past chairperson of the Community Enhancement Board. He is also the current team leader for Crime Watch in the neighborhood. Jim enjoys gardening, reading, visits to the beach and boating. Jim is a member of Miami Shores Baptist Church and a church usher. He also has a keen interest in the stock market and real estate investments – both rental and refurbishing.
