    WordPress Origin Story

    It began by helping out with technical side in friend’s client projects after finishing IT studies around 2017. Focused mostly on WooCommerce stores, including migrations from other platforms, performance tuning, warehouse management and POS system integrations (Odoo) and took part in various web store customization efforts while finding how WP is suited in various hobby projects.

    At some point got frustrated with PHP not being the most cutting edge language and learned making WP plugins with Phel, a functional Clojure-like language transpiling to PHP, which sparked some new enthusiasm about PHP ecosystem in general (https://github.com/jasalt/phel-wp-plugin).
