I needed to revamp a few websites that I owned. Both were ancient and non-responsive, so impossible to view on mobiles. One was even stuck in the pre web 2.0 era – pretty sure I was using tables to do layout tasks (eeks).
On my other site, it was pretty rockin’ – I had largely hand-coded everything, but it was dynamic, web 2.0, etc. I probably re-invented a lot of wheels on that site (http://2008.jrussomusic.com), but it was fun to do and a learning process.
Previously, I was using b2evolution for this site. It was fine at the time, but slowly I came to realize that WordPress has a much more active community, and that there was just so much more in terms of plugins and features.
So I finally made the switch halfway through last year, and here I am!
