    interconnect/it is a web development company based in Liverpool, England. We work with some of the UK’s biggest WordPress users and can deal with both scale *and* complexity at the same time!

    WordPress Origin Story

    Simple – way back in 2005 I needed a blog platform that would work on a very cheap bit of hosting I had. It wouldn’t support most software, and other platforms were simply awful. As I worked through the alphabet I became despondent until I got to the last bit of software. WordPress. I installed it… and it just worked! Out of the box. It was simple to use, the theme was plenty, and that was enough. Quickly I realised that for this type of work, it was brilliant.

    We then used WordPress as the basis for our company website, quickly getting requests from other people to do the same. But business was a little quiet so we started to experiment and discovered that there are ways to make WP into something quite special. The rest is history, and now we run some of the biggest sites out there!
