    WordPress Origin Story

    Way back after grad school, circa 1997/98, I was learning HTML/CSS and some WYSIWYG page/site building desktop applications like Claris HomePage and Dreamweaver. I was training folks how to use those apps and then started teaching them at a community college. Between 2001 – 2007 I started learning WordPress basics: how to make a theme, how to leverage the power of child-themes, etc. The entry of Gutenberg is very exciting albeit somewhat tricky to shift my mindset for child-themes but I’m getting there.
