    Bio

    Hi, I’m Ibrahim Riaz, a WordPress developer from Bangladesh. I’ve been working with WordPress since 2018, focusing on theme and plugin development.

    I’m also involved in the WordPress open-source community, contributing across teams including Core, Accessibility, Core Performance, Documentation, Meta, Polyglots, and Training. I’m particularly interested in improving learning resources and supporting Bengali translations to make WordPress more accessible.

    I enjoy connecting with the community through WordCamps, Contributor Days, and local meetups, and I’m passionate about helping grow the WordPress community in Bangladesh.

    WordPress Origin Story

    My journey with WordPress started in 2018 when I began working as a frontend developer. Initially, I used WordPress to build and customize websites, mainly working with themes. As I gained more experience with the platform, I became curious about how things worked behind the scenes and gradually started developing custom themes and plugins.

    Over time, WordPress became a major part of my professional journey. While exploring the ecosystem, I discovered the WordPress open-source community, which introduced me to the idea of contributing and collaborating with people from around the world.

    A big milestone in my journey was attending WordCamp Dhaka 2025 and participating in Contributor Day. That experience inspired me to become more involved in the community and contribute more actively. Since then, I’ve been participating in several contributor teams and helping with Training Team activities and Bengali translations to make WordPress learning resources more accessible.
