    Bio

    Art and design have been my passion since young. Seeing the rise of multimedia and technology in the late 1990s led me to pursue a degree in Multimedia Communication at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand, where I graduated in 2000.

    Since then, I’ve been dedicated to bridging creativity and technology in both business and non-profit work. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with well-known brands as well as guide startups and SMEs in shaping their identity and digital presence.

    After relocating to Sarawak (East Malaysia), I founded IdeaShaper, a creative company focused on branding, advertising, web solutions and trainings. I’ve also been actively involved in the WordPress community, sharing insights on design, web development, and the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence in creative work.

    I believe in growing together with the community—nurturing new talents, encouraging learning, and helping others find clarity through creativity and technology.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I first stumbled upon WordPress around 2005 while doing extensive research on how to revamp our church website. I started with a StudioPress theme and the Genesis Framework, which gave me great confidence in the technology and its flexibility.

    Since then, WordPress has become an essential part of my creative and professional journey. I’ve connected with many peers in the community and had the privilege to meet the team from WordCamp Malaysia 2023 — an experience that inspired me to get more involved.

    There’s been no turning back since. I now organize local WordPress Meetups in my town and do my best to give back to the WordPress and WordCamp community, sharing knowledge and supporting others who are just starting their journey.
