Through a problem I couldn’t solve any other way.

I was building a search engine for technical catalogs — the kind
where a customer types “M8x20” and expects the right bolt. Testing
it meant plugging it into real shops, and most of the French B2B
distributors I was looking at ran WooCommerce.

So I learned how WordPress hands over a search query. `pre_get_posts`
turned out to be exactly the right seam: you replace which products
come back and in what order, and the merchant’s theme keeps rendering
them. Nothing to rebuild.

That plugin is what I’m submitting here.
