Bio

Author of Hack The SEO, a free WordPress SEO plugin built for sites that now
have to satisfy Google and generative engines at the same time.

It covers the technical ground you expect (JSON-LD schema, XML sitemap,
redirects and 404 log, canonicals, meta and Open Graph, breadcrumbs, keyword
cannibalization) and adds what most SEO plugins still do not measure: which AI
crawlers actually fetch your pages. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and 15
others are detected server-side from the User-Agent, so they show up even
though a JavaScript analytics tool structurally cannot see them. Each page also
gets a GEO score, a Markdown version at /page.md and a virtual /llms.txt.

Two principles I do not bend on: the plugin makes no outbound request at all,
so nothing about your site or your visitors leaves your server; and it still
runs on WordPress 5.9 and PHP 7.4, because the client sites that need this work
most are rarely on the newest stack.

WordPress Origin Story

I came to WordPress from the SEO side, not the developer side. I was doing SEO
for clients and nearly all of them ran WordPress, so learning the platform in
depth was not a choice, it was the job.

What turned me from a user into a plugin author was maintenance. Across around
thirty client sites the technical layer was always the same four or five
plugins bolted together, with licences to count and renewals to track. And the
sites that needed the work most were the ones the big SEO plugins had quietly
stopped supporting: older PHP, older WordPress, shared hosting. A plugin you
cannot install on a client’s host is not a plugin you can standardise on.

So we started writing our own modules, one at a time, to stop rebuilding the
same setup on every site. That became Hack The SEO, founded in June 2023. The
free version went into the plugin directory on 31 August 2026, and I have been
contributing translations since.

Founder of Hack The SEO, a French company building SEO tooling for WordPress.

Who it is for: agencies and site owners maintaining WordPress at scale,
including the client sites on older hosting that most SEO plugins have stopped
supporting. We run SEO on around thirty sites, ours and our clients', and every
constraint in the product comes from there.

What we shipped: Hack The SEO, released free in the plugin directory on
31 August 2026. Nine modules across twelve admin screens covering JSON-LD
schema, XML sitemap, redirects and a 404 log, canonicals, meta and Open Graph,
breadcrumbs and keyword cannibalization, plus server-side detection of 18 AI
crawlers and a per-page GEO score. It makes no outbound request at all, runs on
WordPress 5.9 and PHP 7.4, and ships in five languages, which we contribute on
translate.wordpress.org.

Since June 2023: from internal modules written to stop rebuilding the same SEO
setup on every client site, to a public plugin and a commercial version.

Key Accomplishments

Translation contributor on translate.wordpress.org. Hack The SEO shipped in
five locales at launch: fr_FR, es_ES, de_DE, it_IT and pt_BR.

Built server-side AI crawler measurement for WordPress: 18 user agents from
OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Apple, Google, Meta, Cohere and Common Crawl,
read from the User-Agent and logged in the site's own database. AI crawlers do
not run JavaScript, so a JavaScript analytics tool structurally cannot see
them. Shipped free, with a per-page GEO score, a Markdown version of every page
and a virtual llms.txt, all computed on the site's own server.

Released Hack The SEO in the WordPress plugin directory in August 2026, a free
SEO plugin covering the full technical layer: JSON-LD schema across 60+ types,
XML sitemap, 301/302/307/410 redirects with a 404 log, canonicals, meta and
Open Graph, breadcrumbs and keyword cannibalization detection. Nine modules
across twelve admin screens, none of it behind a paid tier, none of it a trial.
