WordPress Origin Story

I discovered WordPress around 2007, beginning as a curious user exploring the possibilities of open publishing. My involvement deepened in 2014 when I volunteered at WordCamp Sofia and went on to co-organize local WordPress meetups and WordCamps across Poland, helping grow the regional community.
That same year, I joined OnTheGoSystems, providing multilingual support for the WPML plugin, and later moved to Japan, where I worked as a Product Evangelist focused on connecting creators and open-source tools.
Since 2016, I have been part of Automattic Inc., where I currently serve as a Community Wrangler. In this role, bridge support, community, and product feedback — ensuring that users and contributors alike have a voice in shaping the WordPress experience.

Passionate about education and open collaboration, I actively promote initiatives like WordPress Credits and WP Campus Connect, which connect academia with the global open-source ecosystem to empower the next generation of contributors.
