By day, I help busy business owners to get more out of digital marketing so they can save time and make more money. By night, I help entrepreneurs with ADHD improve their productivity and achieve success.

Hello, my name is Dan. I’m the founder of Huxo Creative, a boutique digital marketing agency. I’m also the host of the ADDtrepreneur podcast, which helps ADHD adults start and grow their own businesses with the help of other neurodiverse entrepreneurs.

If you’re in the Warwickshire area, I’d love you to join us in the WordPress Warwickshire Meetup Group and come along to our monthly meetings. We welcome all WordPress users, bloggers, freelancers and business owners.

WordPress Origin Story

I first heard of WordPress (.com) in 2012, and I’ve been building client sites since 2014 as a side business, eventually giving up a career to go full time.

I, like the majority of people, began experimenting with HTML at the age of 16. I’d always admired computers and technology, but a PC was never within my means until the mid-to-late 1990s.

I used to spend hours reading, creating, and playing with code in Notepad as well as visiting websites I liked the appearance of and using View Source to pull and alter things from them. I purchased a domain with a group of friends for fun, and I created us a website that grew over time and attracted visitors from all around the world.

I’d dabbled with websites as a pastime for a few years, but I’d never entertained the idea of making it my career. When beginning a blog to publish my poetry, in 2012, I discovered WordPress. I fell in love with WordPress from the first second and was captivated by it due to my ADHD. I went down the rabbit hole and tried Drupal, Magento, and a few others, but WordPress (.org) was a fantastic fit and I decided to stick with it over anything else.

I’ve met and learned from genuinely great people all around the world thanks to courses and social media. The WordPress community is fantastic, helpful, and full of some really brilliant individuals. These individuals are what make WordPress so unique.
