I first heard of WordPress (.com) in 2012, and I’ve been building client sites since 2014 as a side business, eventually giving up a career to go full-time.

I, like the majority of people, began experimenting with HTML at the age of 16. I’d always admired computers and technology, but a PC was never within my means until the mid-to-late 1990s.

I used to spend hours reading, creating, and playing with code in Notepad and visiting websites I liked the appearance of and using View Source to pull and alter things from them. I purchased a domain with a group of friends for fun, and I created a website that grew over time and attracted visitors from all around the world.

I’d dabbled with websites as a pastime for a few years, but I’d never entertained the idea of making it my career. When beginning a blog to publish my poetry in 2012, I discovered WordPress. I fell in love with WordPress from the first second and was captivated by it due to my ADHD. I went down the rabbit hole and tried Drupal, Magento, and a few others, but WordPress (.org) was a fantastic fit, and I decided to stick with it over anything else.

I’ve met and learned from great people worldwide thanks to groups, courses and social media. The WordPress community is fantastic, helpful, and full of brilliant individuals. These individuals are what makes WordPress so unique.
