    Hi, I’m Shamim Rajani.

    I’m Partner & COO at Genetech Solutions, where I’ve spent more than two decades helping businesses solve problems through technology. Along the way, I’ve learned that great software isn’t just about code, it’s about understanding people and building solutions that make their lives easier.

    WordPress has been part of that journey for many years. What started as building websites for clients gradually turned into contributing products to an open-source community that has helped millions of people build on the web.

    Outside of work, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for others through CodeGirls, because I believe technology can change lives when people are given the chance to learn and grow.

    I’m here to learn, contribute where I can, and connect with others who enjoy building things that are useful.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I didn’t discover WordPress because I wanted to build blogs, I discovered it because my clients needed practical, and reliable solutions.

    What kept me around wasn’t just the platform itself; it was the community behind it. Seeing thousands of people freely share knowledge, improve the software, and help one another reminded me what open source is really about.

    Over the years, our work naturally evolved from building WordPress solutions for clients to developing plugins of our own. I hope this is just the beginning of our contribution back to the ecosystem.
