WordPress Origin Story

I got into WordPress almost by accident.

I was on a completely different path at the time—I had completed a B.Ed. and was preparing to become a teacher. Alongside that, I found myself drawn to technology and started exploring web development on my own, without a clear plan or direction.

What began as curiosity quickly turned into hands-on experience. In the early days, everything felt unfamiliar—themes, plugins, debugging issues that didn’t make sense at first. But that challenge was what kept me going. The more I explored, the more I realized how much control WordPress offered. It wasn’t just about creating websites; it was about shaping how they function, look, and evolve.

Somewhere along the way, confusion turned into confidence. Small fixes became bigger wins, and late nights figuring things out became part of the process. What started as a completely different career path gradually shifted into something I genuinely enjoy and continue to grow in.

I’m still building, still learning, and still figuring things out—with a lot more clarity than when I started.
