I am the developer and programmer of LocalWP A free portable custom Windows, Apache, MySQL, and PHP stack that includes WordPress. Everything is pre-configured and highly optimized to run WordPress smoothly including the database.

It’s the fastest, and simplest way to have a nice local WordPress development site up and running in a few minutes.

Just download a .zip file, extract it, start LocalWP, and you’re ready to go.

Works on Windows Vista through Windows 10.
