Bio/Description

I’m a technologist who specializes in software development. I’m passionate about creating dynamic software that is certainly maintainable, expandable, keeping in mind the current technologies and market needs. I focus on integrating applications that are built against different frameworks and can run on different platforms.

Scalability, efficiency and performance are key topics for any software, that’s why I keep track of the newest technologies, I never underestimate the power of the cloud, that’s why I do believe in using this power with “edge applications” to expand software’s and solutions to a new level.

WordPress Origin Story

I’ve been involved with WordPress since 2008/2009, It was shocking for me the simplicity in WordPress. I come from C than ASP/Asp.net environment then in 2007 I started with Java but did not have any experience with PHP.

WordPress gave me much flexibility, it took me less than a week to deploy a website and that was very nice feeling.

In 2012 we took the decision to move a huge news website from .net to WordPress, the website has over a million request per hour and it has lots of dynamic content. After 8 months we did manage to move the website to WordPress with 3 Datacenters and 9 VM’s… It’s a pride to see the harmony between WordPress and all the 3rd party caching systems… (Varnish, Memcached, Redis and so on…)

Today, it’s 2015 and it’s such a pleasure to see WordPress is moving towards Rest API and separation of templating in PHP and frontend… It proves WordPress is more than a blog it’s a serious platform.
