Bio

We’re a team of web developers from Germany with a passion for building high-quality WordPress plugins that do exactly what they’re supposed to do — and do it exceptionally well.

Our focus is on clean code, security, performance, and thoughtful functionality. We believe great software should solve real problems, follow WordPress coding standards, and make life easier without introducing unnecessary complexity.

No bloated features. No half-baked solutions. No shortcuts disguised as innovation.

Just reliable, well-crafted plugins built with attention to detail and a healthy obsession with getting things right.

Because WordPress deserves better than “it works on my machine.”

WordPress Origin Story

Our WordPress journey began long before 2010, when we started exploring the platform for our own websites and client projects. Coming from other content management systems, we quickly discovered its potential — and, occasionally, its limitations.

As flexx-hosting, we’ve spent years developing, hosting, maintaining, and securing WordPress websites on our own server infrastructure. This hands-on experience gives our development team, flexxDEV, a deep understanding of how WordPress performs in real-world environments.

Along the way, we’ve encountered our fair share of bloated plugins, unnecessary dependencies, questionable security practices, and solutions that created more problems than they solved.

The introduction of the GDPR in 2018 was a turning point. Suddenly, plugins that had been used in client projects for years were no longer suitable due to privacy compliance issues. We needed reliable alternatives, but finding them wasn’t always easy.

So we started building our own.

What began as a practical response to real-world challenges evolved into a passion for developing independent, purpose-built WordPress extensions.

Today, we combine years of hands-on experience with a commitment to clean code, security, privacy, and performance. Our goal is simple: create thoughtfully engineered plugins that solve actual problems without unnecessary complexity.

We don’t believe a plugin needs 47 features, three external services, and a subscription just to do one job properly.

Sometimes, less really is more. Especially when it’s done right.
