Bio

I work on WordPress websites at kanopi.com, a Drupal and WP focused agency. I’m a front end dev, and I specialize in accessibility. Kanopi does give me hours to put towards community work, but my contributions are not regular enough to check the sponsorship boxes – just know if I’m doing something in the community, Kanopi made it happen.

WordPress Origin Story

I worked with Joomla! for a few years, but after a particular Joomla conference, the agency I worked with decided they were hesitant about Joomla’s future. They switched their CMS of choice over to WordPress and suddenly I had to go from a Joomla dev to a WordPress dev! But it proved to be an agreeable move for me. Once I got my feet under me, I really enjoyed working with WordPress and found my skill set expanding to include PHP, which I’d been able to mostly avoid in Joomla. There are things I miss about Joomla but I haven’t looked back.
