I discovered WordPress in 2017 while working as a freelance graphic designer. A client needed a custom WordPress theme for their business, and I was immediately fascinated by how WordPress combined design freedom with powerful functionality.

As I dove deeper into theme development, I found myself frustrated by the bloat and complexity of many existing solutions. Popular plugins like ACF and Redux Framework were powerful but heavy. I thought, “What if these tools were modern, lightweight, and truly developer-friendly?”

That question led me to start building my own solutions. First came Zoomora — a lightweight JavaScript gallery lightbox because existing options required jQuery and were 50KB+. When developers on GitHub gave it 6 stars and actually used it in production, I realized I could contribute something valuable to the WordPress community.

Now I’m preparing to release OneMeta (a modern ACF alternative) and ThemePlus (a lightweight Redux Framework replacement) — both free, both open source, both built with the care and attention to detail that I wish existed when I was learning WordPress.

WordPress gave me the tools to build a freelancing career (146+ five-star reviews on Freelancer.com). Now it’s time to give back to the community that made it all possible.
