Bio

Hi, my name is Jim Valentine and I am studying computer science (Software Development) with the Open University. I have created F13Dev as a way to write articles that may help those new to programming; and to showcase my software development and programming skills to prospective employers once I have completed my studies.

Interests

Software development, web development and all things code; Photography and tinkering with old cars, I am currently restoring a 1990 Toyota Celica GT when I’m not studying, working or coding.

WordPress Origin Story

Although in 2009 I started work on my own content management system and blogging engine I often use WordPress as it offers many more features than i have time to code into my own project; that and my own CMS mainly exists for practice.

Despite the wide array of plugins available for WordPress there are still a few missing that I would like to use, or similar ones exist which are missing a feature that I would like; therefor I have decided to write plugins that fit my requirements and possibly a few others that I just feel could be useful for other WordPress users.
