    Each is designed around a defined job, with useful defaults, careful performance and no more complexity than the work requires. Open-source plugins are GPL-licensed and developed in public.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I started using WordPress as a practical way to build and manage commercial websites without making every change a development project. Over time, that became deeper work across performance, custom plugins, integrations, ecommerce and the systems around the site.

    Most of the plugins I build begin with the same question: why does something this simple need to be this heavy?
