    I am a web developer with over 25 years of experience, specializing in WordPress for the past decade. I develop themes and plugins, translate WordPress into Turkish, and organize events in the WordPress Istanbul community. I run my own company, ADA, and am happily married with two sons.

    WordPress Origin Story

    tl;dr
    – 1996: Built my first website.
    – 2003: Started a personal blog.
    – 2005: Transitioned to WordPress.
    – 2008: Joined the WordPress Turkey team.
    – 2012: Used WordPress for various projects.
    – 2015: Founded ADA, focused on WordPress services.

    In 1996, as a young computer enthusiast, I created my first website with the excitement of doing something new in the web world. During a time when the internet was still a novel concept, exploring this new platform to carve out my own space and provide information to people was a fascinating experience.

    In 2003, I was truly drawn to the idea of creating a personal blog where I could freely share my thoughts and experiences. It was a way for me to connect with others and express myself without any limitations. Taking those first steps, I created my own personal blog, and it opened up a whole new world for me on the internet.

    In 2005, I discovered the rise of WordPress and its user-friendly interface. WordPress was gaining popularity among content management systems, and I decided to make the transition to this platform. Soon, I found myself involved in translating WordPress themes and plugins. It was a new field for me, and I eagerly embraced the opportunity to contribute to the WordPress community.

    In 2008, as an active member of the WordPress community in Turkey, I joined the WordPress Turkey team. As part of this team, I took on the responsibility of translating the core of WordPress into Turkish. We worked hard to promote WordPress’s further expansion in Turkey and enhance the experience for Turkish users.

    In 2012, I began using WordPress in various fields, ranging from personal websites to corporate web platforms. With the flexibility of WordPress and the wide range of plugin and theme options, we could provide our clients with highly customizable and user-friendly websites. During this time, I thoroughly enjoyed using WordPress professionally.

    In 2015, fueled by my passion for WordPress, I founded my own company called ADA. ADA started offering services focused on the WordPress vertical. I specialized in designing, developing, and managing WordPress-based websites for my clients. This opportunity allowed me to provide more comprehensive services to WordPress users in Turkey.

    By organizing events in the WordPress Istanbul group, I aim to foster knowledge and experience sharing among WordPress users and developers. These events facilitate the growth of the WordPress community and encourage learning from one another.

    Additionally, I take pride in managing the WordPress Turkey community. We strive for the community’s growth and aim to reach more people in Turkey. As an active member of WordPress Turkey, I continue to work towards strengthening the community and supporting WordPress’s presence in Turkey.

    I am still a dedicated WordPress translator and trying to contribute to making the platform accessible in Turkish.
