We understand your preference for switching articles back to posts. That's why we recommend the widely-used Post Type Switcher plugin, a handy tool that lets you quickly switch between the two formats with just a few clicks. You'll have the flexibility you need in no time!Meanwhile, we're hard at work developing exciting new features like Gutenberg blocks and AI integration that we know our users will love. Stay tuned for these game-changing updates coming soon as we continue offering our free plugin to enhance your experience and streamline your workflow.Dave at Echo plugins team. -

Posted a reply to Can I create Parent/Child Pages?, on the site WordPress.org Forums:
Thanks for reaching out! While our knowledge base plugin doesn't use WordPress's built in "Page Attributes" feature for parent/child pages, you can still create a hierarchical structure for your training manual. Instead of pages, we use categories and sub-categories to organize content. To create your "Technical How-to's" section, make that a main category, then create sub-categories for each how-to topic (e.g., "Creating a new email account"). Assign your articles to the appropriate sub-category. You can create up to five levels of hierarchy. If you need help setting this up or have more questions, don't hesitate to contact our support team at https://www.echoknowledgebase.com/technical-support/ Dave at Echoplugins Team -
Posted a reply to Last Viewed articles, on the site WordPress.org Forums:
Hi there,Thank you for your interest! Currently, we do not have a feature specifically for displaying last viewed or related articles. However, we do offer a "Most Popular Articles" feature that displays articles based on view counts. Additionally, at the bottom of each article, you'll find "Previous" and "Next" buttons, which link to related articles within the same category. We appreciate your feedback and will consider these features for future updates.Thank you,Dave -

Posted a reply to Totally wrong approach, on the site WordPress.org Forums:
Thank you for your feedback. We understand your preference for using regular posts for a knowledge base. However, Custom Post Types (CPTs) is a feature created by WordPress specifically for handling custom content like knowledge base articles. CPTs offer numerous advantages for organizing, managing, and enhancing a knowledge base, which directly benefits our users. Key benefits of using CPTs include: Designed for Purpose: WordPress specifically created CPTs to handle different types of content beyond standard blog posts. This allows for greater flexibility and customization. Separation of Content: Keeping knowledge base articles separate from blog posts helps users easily find the information they need without wading through unrelated content. Proven Success: Many popular knowledge bases and WordPress plugins successfully utilize CPTs for the reasons mentioned above. Easy Transition: If you already have posts you want to use in your knowledge base, they can be easily converted into CPTs. Enhanced Organization: CPTs allow for custom fields, taxonomies (categories/tags), and other organizational features tailored specifically for knowledge base content. Improved Search & Filtering: Users can find relevant information more quickly with dedicated search and filtering options for the knowledge base. Future-Proofing: As your knowledge base grows, CPTs provide a scalable structure that's easier to maintain and expand. We're always looking to improve our plugin and welcome any further feedback you may have. Feel free to reach out to our support team for any questions or suggestionsDave at Echo Plugins Team -
