WordPress Origin Story

Back in 2006 I was looking for a publishing platform for a web-comics site that I wanted to build. WordPress was at version 2.0 at the time and was far away from the polished experience we get today. But it caught my attention with its simplicity and mostly with the ease of hacking together themes. The comics site was a success and by working on it I acquired skills that helped propel my career as a web-developer.
