WordPress Origin Story

My original account here (@dpk) goes back to 2006, which is when I first started building websites with WordPress. I made some earlier experiments and even installed b2 when b2evolution and b2/cafelog were added to Fantastico for cPanel hosts in 2003. At that time, Movable Type and then Mambo, Joomla, and briefly Drupal were my favourite CMSes, and Textpattern was my favourite for blogging. WordPress replaced them all after 2008-10.
