Bio

I am a computer engineer and technical producer with Bachelor degrees in Computer Engineering and Music. This amazing industry has taken me around the world implementing technology in countries of not only the USA, but Japan, Hong Kong, France and Germany. How individuals use the technology is just, if not more important, than how it is designed and produced.

With experience within multiple industries, such as tv/movie post-production, theme parks and digital equestrian products, combined with being a musician and equestrian, one gets a unique insight to the individuals using technology and how to implement it successfully.

I have several patients, a couple of awards such as company technical Emmy and individual THEA award for my work. To learn more see: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dskurth/

WordPress Origin Story

After developing software for over 25 years in the entertainment and theme park industries, I did website development on the side. Generally I was unhappy with any of the content management systems, since they appeared to be unreliable and buggy. I wrote all my own php/css/html sites from scratch. WordPress in 2016 because solid enough for me to put in the effort to learn and have since started to use it for most clients as I switch over to being a digital agency for the web and similar industries.

I now write plugins that create unique features for equestrian, athletic and similar industries, as well as design and produce websites. The background of coding themes and sites from scratch, give one a unqiue insight of how to produce solid code and features, and evaluate other work (plugins and themes) for my clients.
