    WordPress Origin Story

    I started using WordPress in 2009, when I built a simple website using a basic theme and a bunch of plugins. It was easy to use, and I liked it. However, I was studying PHP and JavaScript at the time and didn’t pay much attention to WordPress until 2012, when I decided to study WordPress Core and gain a deeper understanding of how it worked.

    By 2016, I had decided to specialize in WordPress and use it for freelancing. From then until 2021, I worked as a freelancer, creating WordPress themes and plugins for my clients. During the pandemic, demand for WordPress development increased, so I brought together a small team of two fellow WordPress developers. I worked as a Project Manager and Senior Developer, mentoring them and teaching them how to work with WordPress.

    Since 2021, I have been working at OnTarget Group in Canada, providing technical leadership to multiple clients who need WordPress expertise.
