    Bio

    Hi there! I’m Adedayo Makinde, a solutions architect, tech entrepreneur, author, and harmony advocate and coach. I work at the crossroads of tech and personal growth. I built Jibi Tech, where I provide IT solutions and develop (mostly free) extensions, and Esme Care, a community built to bring clarity and balance to work and life. I can also be found online under the names ‘Adedayo Adeniyi’ and ‘Daydah’.

    WordPress Origin Story

    In 2006, I created a selfhosted site for multi-authored fiction stories, and needed a way to generate income for the authors. I came up with the brilliant idea to display their individual Google Adsense codes in blocks within their stories. The plugin I found that would allow this was throwing errors. The developers were unresponsive, so I had to dig into the code to resolve its issues.
    Since then, I have built my own plugins and also contributed to WordPress and WordCamps.
