    WordPress Origin Story

    My journey in web development commenced with humble beginnings, grounded in a fervent determination. This quest for knowledge led me to immerse myself in books, diligently learning the intricacies of website construction using pure HTML and CSS. Each line of code not only built websites but also deepened my passion for the endless possibilities of the web.

    As my skills matured, I expanded my horizons into PHP, venturing into the realm of custom CMS development. This phase was marked by a sense of fulfillment as I witnessed my digital creations come to life, serving as vital tools for businesses in the online world. Yet, I sensed that the journey of exploration in web development had much more in store.

    My academic pursuits at university serendipitously introduced me to Joomla. Intrigued by its capabilities, I devoted myself to leveraging Joomla in building numerous websites, delving into its versatility and comprehensive features.

    A pivotal moment in my career occurred in 2016 during a transformative experience in South Africa. It was here that I first encountered WordPress. Instantly captivated by its user-friendly interface and robust features, WordPress marked a significant turning point in my professional life. It rapidly evolved into my primary focus, as I delved deep into its expansive ecosystem.

    With a renewed zeal, I committed myself to not only mastering WordPress but also to sharing this knowledge. In 2021, I embarked on a mission to educate others in the art of page speed optimization for WordPress. Motivated by the goal to empower website owners to maximize their platforms’ potential, I launched the “WP Light” course in Brazil.

    “WP Light” represents my endeavor to enable WordPress users to exploit speed optimization effectively, thereby elevating user experiences and catalyzing business growth. The joy I derive from witnessing the metamorphosis of websites into exceptionally performing, lightning-fast platforms is immeasurable.

    Thus, my journey in the world of WordPress continues, driven by an enduring love for the platform and an unwavering commitment to enhancing the web, one optimized site at a time.
