WordPress Origin Story

I started building with WordPress in 2010 and never looked back. What began as client sites and custom themes turned into a deep focus on plugin development and the WordPress ecosystem. Over the years I’ve built products used across hundreds of thousands of websites and generating billions of popup impressions worldwide, contributed to WordPress Core and Meta, organized WordCamps, and built a company around open-source WordPress tooling. I’m still here because WordPress remains the most impactful platform for putting software into the hands of real people.
