WordPress Origin Story

My journey with WordPress began when I started contributing to open-source plugins, most notably BackWPup back when it was a completely free tool. Diving into the codebase became my ultimate training ground, helping me sharpen my development skills and understand the core ecosystem. That hands-on experience eventually paved the way to a full-time role at Syde (Inpsyde). As I grew deeper into the ecosystem, I started attending WordCamps and got actively involved in giving back by co-organizing local meetups. What started as a way to learn has turned into a rewarding career and a lifelong commitment to the WordPress community.
