Bio

I have worked in and around the WordPress community since 2007. I’ve also spoken at WordCamps around the world including India, New York City, Boston, and Chicago. I had the honor of helping to organize the first WordCamp Boston in 2010. In my spare time, you’ll often find me listening to audiobooks while knitting. I love to travel with my family and have often spent many weeks throughout the year visiting different places.

WordPress Origin Story

In 2007 I decided, on a whim to teach myself to knit despite not knowing one single knitter. Since this was during the rise of the personal blog I quickly determined that I should hop on the bandwagon. It didn’t take long for me to find that I was a much better website manager than a content creator. Fast forward to 2010, having been a speaker at both WordCamp NYC 2009 and WordCamp Boston I was offered the opportunity to join the StudioPress team as a member of the support team. More than 10 years later I’m still passionate about WordPress OSS and developing Websites the WordPress way.
