    Bio

I’m Chris Holtzlander, and I run D1GIT, a one-person web, design and software studio in Phoenix. I’ve been building since 2009: websites, logos, iOS and Android apps, and local SEO for Phoenix businesses.

WordPress has been part of that for years. I still build on it when it’s the right fit, and I look after WordPress sites for clients: hosting, DNS, updates, and fixing things when an update breaks them. When a project needs more than WordPress, I build it custom.

Websites and apps from $1,000, logos $500. More at d1g.it.

    WordPress Origin Story

I started out building sites on Joomla. When WordPress started picking up steam I tried it on one project and never really went back. The admin made sense to my clients, the plugin library covered most of what a small business needed, and I could hand a site over knowing the owner could keep it up to date without calling me for every change.

Since then I’ve built and maintained a lot of WordPress sites for Phoenix businesses, and I still lean on these forums and the plugin authors here when something breaks. It’s the part of WordPress I appreciate most: somebody has usually hit the same problem first and written down the fix.
