    Bio

Senior full-stack engineer in Vancouver. I build tools that save people tedious work, at Apple, Macy’s and Williams Sonoma, and now for WooCommerce stores. I maintain Variation Converter for WooCommerce, which merges near-duplicate simple products into variable products with a preview and one-click undo. Support questions go in the plugin’s support forum; for anything else, craigpestell.com.

    Interests

WordPress, WooCommerce, E-commerce, Web performance, Cloudflare, React, TypeScript, Front-end architecture

    WordPress Origin Story

I’m a web developer and I’ve used WordPress since it was first released. I started out building PHP/MySQL sites in the early 2000s, then used WordPress for client sites like Race Face Performance Products and Hayes Bicycle Group, and I still build and maintain WooCommerce stores today.
