    Bio

    I’m Emerson, and personality test results show that I’m an INTJ-A 🙂 Guess what? I love solving problems and the unending quest for perfection.

    I’m passionate about software engineering and the Internet. I code a lot with the vision that any software I write will have a great impact on humanity.

    Most of my work is in Systems development, PHP, jQuery/JavaScript, and web development. I’m based in Cebu, Philippines.

    When I’m not coding, I do a lot of things. I listen to music and make my own recordings (check my recording-tutorial website). Sometimes I pick up a nylon guitar and play jazz/blues. When I’m bored or tired, I do a lot of sports like running or swimming to recharge. 🙂

    I also love playing strategy games like Starcraft.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I started blogging quite a long time ago using Google Blogger. WordPress was very young at the time and not yet well known.

    I wanted to have my own domain name for my blog and a place to host my content. As a programmer, I’m impressed by the flexibility of WordPress hooks and the power to extend its features through plugins. This is where I started to get involved.
