    I’m mainly a web developer, game developer and writer, though I dabble in various other arts and crafts. I’m a big proponent of minimalism in software.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I had looked at WordPress several times before version 3.0, but it had never worked well for me. Once 3.0 rolled around, I couldn’t help but notice the massive improvement, but couldn’t use it at work due to company policies at the time. Then in August 2010 I decided to start a game development website, and figured, why not give WordPress a whirl. Long story short, I’m still using it 5 years later.

    Now, once I started using WordPress, it was only natural to learn all I could about the platform’s capabilities. So when I was hired to make a website in October 2010, the list of requirements struck me as being a perfect fit for WordPress. In 24h, I knew how to make custom themes. The site is still in my portfolio…

    And then I started collaborating with a WordPress shop, and the rest is history.
