WordPress Origin Story

The old days of writing PHP to produce dynamic content began to diminish when WordPress hit my cPanel around 2004. Initially, I just played with it, but found it intriguing as I no longer needed to hand-code – as much. After a few years, I realized this was the future and began developing sites exclusively with WordPress while also playing with other CMSs such as Drupal and Joomla. By 2010, WordPress had become the preeminent open source code CMS and so the rest is history.
