    Bio

    I’ve been making websites for almost 20 years, but didn’t really get into it until about 2013. Before that it was primarily print design and dinosaur media work. Regarding WordPress, I need all the help I can get…I’ve only got about 2 years of intermittent experience with it. Currently my time is split between I.T. work for local businesses and some video production, so I’m not a “full time” website developer at all.

    WordPress Origin Story

    About two years I was referred to a local business who needed a new home for their WordPress website. After cutting teeth on that, a couple others came along that were WordPress, and since then most new sites I develop are WordPress-based (though I occasionally dip back into the more-familiar-to-me Joomla! platform). The transition to working primarily in WordPress has been bumpy. Conceptually there are similarities with Joomla! but the nuances, css structure, code overrides, workarounds and more are completely different. I’ve had to jiggle a lot of handles to get things working!
