Bio

We have been involved in websites since the late 1990s, back when a content management system was the future and typos on webpages were the norm. We moved to WordPress in the mid 2000’s and have run WordPress sites in both private and publically own businesses we managed. After more than 20 years of fixing slow sites by hand, we got tired of caching plugins that requires you to be a nerd, did one job well, and left the user assembling four others to do the rest. So we built one.

WordPress Origin Story

Caching Out started with a site commissioned externally that was slow. https://orgahair.pl. Every fix meant a different plugin, a different settings screen, and a new way for the site to break.

We wanted a plugin built on three rules. It should be fast the moment you switch it on, without a setup marathon. Anything that could change how your site looks should stay off until you choose it. And it should refuse to do the things that cause damage. Most importantly, it should never break a site, overwrite another plugin’s cache files, never serve a cached page to a logged-in visitor, and never delete anything before showing you exactly what will go.

We wanted it to measure, not boast. CachingOut shows you your own site’s numbers before and after, and tells you plainly when your host is the problem.

The free edition on WordPress.org covers the essentials. CachingOut Pro adds the tuning, measurement and automation tools for people who want to go further.
