Bio

ByUs is a small web studio based in Paris, France. We build and maintain WordPress sites for clients, and we care a lot about what actually makes them slow.

That obsession turned into WP Footprint, a plugin that measures the real performance cost of each plugin and theme on your own server, and into WP Footprint Pulse, the public database of those measurements.

WordPress Origin Story

It all started when a client site got slower with every plugin we added,
and nobody could tell us which one was responsible. Page speed tools show the symptom, not the culprit.

So we started measuring plugins one by one, by hand, on real servers.
That manual process eventually became WP Footprint.
