    WordPress Origin Story

    Although I cannot remember the year, it was early to mid 2000s. I had been using phpBB, FrontPage, or other random software to create a variety of sites. The idea of “blogging” seemed odd to me at first, but eventually the format seemed appealing for rapidly publishing new ideas. I tried Movable Type and one or two other platforms but eventually settled upon WordPress, back when the admin panel was altogether different than what we have now and “big blue headers” were the norm. I loved it, and I’ve never looked back.
