    Professional interests include web development/design/security, SEO, and e-commerce. Personal interests include vegging out to a good TV series, the occasional video game, as well as watching local soccer/football.

    WordPress Origin Story

    Around 2015 I started gaining interest in how websites work. So I started learning HTML,CSS, JS, and PHP. I knew about WordPress during this time but I was more interested in building things from scratch rather than working on something that already existed. In 2017 I started working at Seiler Instrument as a shipping & receiving clerk under my dad. After working there for a short time, knowing that I had some experience working with websites, I was given the opportunity to work on theirs after my regular shift. It just so happens that they were using WordPress. This was my first real exposure to the CMS. After a while I was offered a job in their IT department, where I was able to work on all of their WordPress websites (5 at the time) as well as learn more about working in a technology role rather than in one in labor.
