    Hello,

    I’m Christopher Silvey, founder of Beckin — a technology studio dedicated to building reliable, performance-driven tools for WordPress and modern web platforms. I’ve been a full-stack developer since 2008. My focus is on clean development, long-term maintainability, and user-first design across every project.

    Interests

    WordPress development, plugin design, iOS app development, AWS administration, Linux administration, automation, e-commerce, software performance, security, entrepreneurship, writing, UI/UX design, community tech projects, and outdoor activities.

    WordPress Origin Story

    My journey with WordPress began over a decade and a half ago when I started developing e-commerce sites for small and large businesses. Over time, that evolved into a full-scale passion for creating tools that extend WordPress with speed and simplicity in mind.

    I hold multiple certifications and specialize in areas including AWS cloud architecture, Linux systems administration, PHP and JavaScript development, and iOS app engineering. These skills have helped me approach WordPress development from a performance and scalability standpoint — crafting plugins that are lightweight, secure, and production-ready.

    Through Beckin, my goal is to contribute practical, thoughtfully engineered plugins that empower site owners and developers to build better experiences with less friction.
