    I am a software engineer from Ethiopia with over 5 years of experience in full-stack WordPress development and additional experience in mobile and desktop application development. I worked as a software engineer at Addis Software and East Horizon Construction Company, gaining experience in software development, project delivery, and team leadership.

    WordPress Origin Story

    My journey with WordPress started when I was looking for a practical way to build websites for clients without reinventing the wheel. What began as customizing themes and managing content quickly grew into a deeper interest in how WordPress works under the hood. I started learning PHP, WordPress hooks, custom post types, and plugin development, eventually moving from site customization to building custom themes, plugins, and WooCommerce solutions.

    Over the years, WordPress became more than just a CMS for me, it became a platform where I could solve real business problems. I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, including e-commerce stores, business websites, payment gateway integrations, SEO-focused solutions, and custom plugin development. I also published my own plugin in the WordPress Plugin Directory and have led development teams working on WordPress-based projects.

    What keeps me involved with WordPress is its flexibility, strong community, and the opportunity to create solutions that help businesses and users around the world. Every project presents a new challenge, and WordPress continues to provide the tools and ecosystem to turn ideas into reality.
