Bio

I’m a frontend engineer and UI/UX designer with more than 15 years building for the web. I’m originally from Argentina, and these days I’m living abroad.

I work at Uncanny Owl, where I build the frontend of Uncanny Automator, a no-code automation tool, and Uncanny Agent, its AI copilot. Both are built entirely with Lit, on top of an in-house library of reusable components and reactive controllers I created myself, which is what lets the Agent run independently of whatever it plugs into. Now and then I speak on the importance of UI/UX, sharing practical ways to improve your users’ experience and convert better.

I also write. The Senior Eye is about how a senior decides. We build something real together, a working Lit component, and reason through the trade-offs behind it, when a freshly shipped feature is worth adopting, what the browser should handle for you, what still earns hand-written code, and when a clever trick turns into a trap. The Brief is the short one, a weekly roundup of the frontend and AI-in-frontend news that’s actually worth your time.

Current Job

Sr UI/UX Designer & Frontend Engineer
Feb 2018 – Present
Uncanny Owl · Full-time
During my first four months at Uncanny Owl, I was focused on adding features to the company's WordPress plugins for LearnDash.

Four months later, I also started working as a UI/UX designer. Although I still contribute to the company's plugins for LearnDash and clients' projects, I've switched my focus to Uncanny Automator, a plugin that automates WordPress sites without writing any code.

I've designed and coded the front end of the recipe builder, a complex UI that renders using Lit. The UI is component-based, and its code is written with modern JS following WordPress' coding standards.

At the moment, I'm developing a design system based on Atomic Design principles to improve integration between the development and design for Uncanny Automator. During this process, I'm standardizing components and design patterns and building the infrastructure necessary to version and serve any change in design definitions to engineering teams efficiently.
