Bio

I am a creative front-end web developer, passionate about solving problems and building amazing web designs and development solutions for small businesses and personal brands. I’ve spent the last 5 years improving my skills in using WordPress to provide quality web development services to business owners in order to gain more traction for their service offerings.

WordPress Origin Story

I started using WordPress in 2017 after I found a folder titled “Building a website with WordPress” on a friend’s PC I borrowed to use for the weekend. I have always been fascinated by how the Internet works. The video course provided an opportunity to learn about the Internet and how the web works and to build my first website, hosted on wordpress.com. This experience drove me to develop more interest in tech, which made me enroll as an apprentice at a tech hub. During my time there, I was introduced to the fundamentals of web design and development. I also got to learn more about WordPress.org and was able to build and manage a couple of clients’ web design projects using WordPress. My responsibilities included building, managing, and updating client website projects and ensuring that their websites met their marketing objectives and were accessible on various devices, including desktops and mobile phones.

I’m a member of a WordPress local community and participated in the 2018 WordPress Do_action Hackathon, a WordPress community-organized event where community members come together to plan and build brand new websites in a day for deserving charitable organizations for their online presence.
