I’ve been working with WordPress in one form or another since the early days.

I originally learned HTML many years ago, inspired by Tim Berners-Lee and the early web. Since then, I’ve always been interested in how websites work, how search works, and how technology can be used to solve practical problems.

I would not describe myself as the world’s greatest coder. I’m more of a persistent builder. I learn by doing, breaking things, fixing them, and learning from people far better than me.

After a long break from development due to family circumstances, I returned properly in 2019 and have been rebuilding my skills ever since. WordPress has changed a lot in that time. Composer, Bedrock, blocks, React, Sass, build tools, Node, and modern workflows can feel like a moving target, but I enjoy the challenge.

These days I mainly work with WordPress, custom plugins, Bedrock, Sage, Astro, and practical tools that help small organisations, charities, and businesses run better websites.

I’m submitting plugins because I like building useful things, especially where a simple custom solution can save people time, money, or unnecessary complexity.
