Plugin and theme development — specifically writing code that other developers and non-technical users can rely on without friction. We are drawn to the discipline of building WordPress extensions that are well-structured, maintainable, and honest about what they do. Good plugins solve one problem cleanly; good themes get out of the content’s way. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

My WordPress journey started in 2009, driven by equal parts client demand and curiosity. A local medical college needed a website for their alumni association — the Amritsar Medical College Alumni Association — and WordPress was the right tool for the job. That first project taught me how much you could accomplish with relatively little, and I was hooked.

What began as a practical solution for clients gradually became a craft. Over the next few years I moved from building sites to building on top of WordPress — custom themes, plugins, deeper integrations. In 2013 that work became Akaal Creatives, a consultancy now spanning web, mobile, and everything in between.

WordPress has been part of the stack from day one and remains one of the platforms we trust most for getting things shipped.
