v5.8.21 - blog featured-image recurrence hardening (image-only). (a) Bounded IMAGE-ONLY sideload retry: an empty downloadImage() in the PublishPost heal path persists a pending marker and schedules a single-event retry (linear backoff, MAX=3, dup-guarded by wp_next_scheduled, already-healed short-circuit) that re-attempts ONLY the image sideload via the existing downloadImage() stack and never creates/publishes/schedules a post or touches social. (b) Purge-on-attach: after a featured image is attached outside a full rebuild, purgeFeaturedImageAttach() purges the post permalink + blog listing + home via the existing purgeCloudflareCacheViaProxy path (deduped, host-allowlisted, 60s per-post throttle, proxy server-side filters). Reuses existing infra only; no new origin/endpoint/render path. Stable tag 5.8.20 -> 5.8.21. Issues 2026-06-08-002 / 2026-06-08-003 recurrence (bug msgs 6341/6342/6343; issue 2026-06-15-004). Canary 11/11 + pilot 5/5 green; publish authorized 2026-06-15.
