I started using WordPress after tiring of Dreamweaver and the constant learning curve to keep up with Adobe.

WordPress proved to be a simple, intuitive platform that I could use to create and manage websites for small to medium businesses whilst keeping costs down.

Fast forward nearly 20 years and I now have a wholesale hosting platform with the ability to host hundreds of sites and domains most of which have been built or managed by me using Divi, my theme of choice.

In 2017 I decided to go ‘all-in’ quitting my day job and commencing work full time (finally) as owner of 681 Web, something I’d thought about doing for a long time previously.

Since taking this bold step I’ve never looked back and am enjoying seeing WordPress evolve with features such as Site Health (which I was previously offering as a service for several years 🙂 ) and now the Guttenberg editor (which I use to easily update sites with bespoke templates). I’m excited about the push into performance that WordPress has made with lazy loading and look forward to seeing how far this goes.

My dream is to retire by the age of 50 and at this time I hope to give back to the WordPress community (more than I currently do at least) for providing a great tool used by so many globally.
